Van Buren Tech is proud to announce that we received a $1,000 grant from Meemic Insurance to support our EPIC initiative, which recognizes students for demonstrating essential employability skills. EPIC stands for Engagement, Professionalism, Initiative, and Communication. Through the initiative, instructors will recognize students who demonstrate these skills in the classroom and those who show significant growth throughout the school year.
Students may be recognized in two areas: High-Performance Excellence, for consistently demonstrating strong employability skills, or Exceptional Growth & Progress, for making significant improvements in their employability skills. The grant will help provide EPIC T-shirts and student recognition certificates that instructors can use to celebrate these accomplishments.
The EPIC T-shirts and certificates will make student accomplishments visible, meaningful, and memorable while reinforcing that students' choices, effort, attitude, and growth matter. We are grateful to Meemic Insurance for supporting our students and helping us recognize the employability skills they are developing for the workplace and their future careers.
