In every discussion, decision, and moment of leadership, he consistently led with these principles at the forefront, ensuring that the needs of students, staff, and our broader community remained central to our work.
As a board member, Kenny played a vital role in shaping the direction of our organization. His thoughtful leadership helped guide decisions that strengthened VBISD as an organization and enhanced the educational services we provide across Van Buren County.
Beyond policies and procedures, Kenny brought a level of care, professionalism, and humor that cannot be replaced. On behalf of the Board of Education, our staff, our students, and the families we serve, we offer our heartfelt thanks to Kenny Kent for his 8 amazing years of service, leadership, and belief in the mission of VBISD.
After his final board meeting, we gathered in a small celebration to honor him, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. It was a heartfelt moment that truly reflected the respect, admiration, and gratitude we all feel for his years of dedicated service.
