"Grow Your Own is a state education grant program that funds Grow Your Own initiatives to address teacher shortages by helping school districts support current school staff and local candidates to become certified teachers or earn additional endorsements. The grant helps pay for tuition, books, testing fees, and substitute costs while participants work and train to become educators." (Michigan.gov)
