Van Buren Tech Students Showcase Innovation at Michigan State Capitol
Van Buren Intermediate School District proudly announced that students from Van Buren Tech’s Engineering and Architectural Design program participated in the Michigan Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase, held at the State Capitol in Lansing. Accompanied by EAD instructor Joshua Bridges and VBT’s CTE Director Robert Smith, students had the opportunity to present their work alongside CTE peers from across the state, engaging with legislators and showcasing how CTE programs deliver high-impact, hands-on, and technology-driven experiences that prepare students for both college and career success. The Capitol visit included a special tour of the historic building, highlighted by a private session in the House Chamber, hosted by Michigan State Representative Tom Kunse. Robert Smith, CTE Director at Van Buren Tech, expressed support for the event, stating that opportunities like this are vital for raising awareness about the impact of CTE.
Van Buren Tech continues to serve as a leader in CTE, offering students from across Van Buren County access to cutting-edge programming in engineering, architecture, healthcare, agriculture, and more.
