Substitute teaching is done through EDUStaff, a third party administrator for all of the school districts within Van Buren County (Bangor, Bloomingdale, Covert, Decatur, Gobles, Hartford, Lawrence, Lawton, Mattawan, Paw Paw, South Haven). 

One of the requirements to substitute teach is being fingerprinted for a criminal history record check by the Michigan State Police and FBI.  VBISD completes the fingerprinting for subs and is the record holder of your criminal history record check.  If you need to be fingerprinted for substitute teaching, contact Kara Duffy at 269-539-5218 to set up an appointment.  The fee to process the fingerprinting is currently $55 and must be paid with cash or check.
