students and one instructor from Van Buren Tech stand proudly behind a display table at a showcase event. The students wear matching blue Van Buren Tech T-shirts and are surrounded by project displays, 3D-printed models, posters, and banners highlighting their program. Two large Van Buren Tech banners and a GoEngineer sign are visible in the background, indicating a focus on engineering, architecture, or manufacturing. The setting appears to be a professional conference or exhibition space.

Students and instructor Joshua Bridges from Van Buren Tech’s Engineering Design and Architectural Design programs participated in the Michigan Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase at the State Capitol today, April 29. The event provided an opportunity for legislators to engage with CTE students from across the state and learn how these programs are equipping them with real-world, high-tech, and hands-on experiences. In addition to presenting their work, students toured the Capitol, including a private visit to the House Chamber led by Michigan State Representative Tom Kunse. This experience highlights the importance of CTE in preparing students for future success.
