Professional Learning Requests

If your building or district has a specific professional learning need that cannot be met by the current Special Education Professional Learning offerings, reach out to your Regional Supervisor of Special Education. Your Supervisor of Special Education can help determine if your team should submit a System-Level Request for Observation and Consultation Services (ROCS) for professional learning to the BRIDGE Consultant Team.

The BRIDGE Consultant Team is able to provide training in the areas of:

  • Assistive Technology

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders

  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI)

  • Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)

  • Data Collection & Analysis

  • De-escalation Strategies

  • Effective Teaming & Meeting Mechanics

  • Mental Health Friendly Classrooms

  • Paraprofessional Role Development

  • Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports

  • Unique Learning Systems & Instructional Strategies

The BRIDGE Consultant Team asks that training requests be submitted a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the targeted training date. This provides trainers the time needed to coordinate and prepare materials to ensure a quality learning experience. Once a ROCS for professional learning has been received, the assigned team member will communicate with the individual listed as the contact person on the ROCS in order to make event arrangements.
