Learn all aspects of basic patent care in a variety of settings including classroom instruction, patient care experience in long term care facilities, hospital site-based volunteer opportunities, and community service through Future Nurses of America membership. Obtain certification in CPR/AED and Standard First Aid. Build a solid foundation in medical terminology, human anatomy and medical math. Students who meet State and course objectives may qualify to take the Michigan OBRA Nurse Aide State Certification Exam. Students interested in this program should enjoy working with people of all ages and cultures. Success in this program would include the ability to work on a team, problem-solving and critical thinking, being willing to conform to industry standards (no visible tattoos, not piercings), being able to stay on task, stay organized and complete assignments on time.
