Meet the Instructor
September 13, 2018
I would like to take this time to introduce myself as your student’s Pharmacy Technician instructor at the Van Buren Technology Center. My name is Shari Blied, and I am delighted to have your child in my program. It has been over a week since school has started; students are comfortable with my teaching techniques, and I am getting to know them quite well.
I realize that students learn in different ways and at different rates. My program offers individualized instruction designed to meet each student's needs. Grades are based on classroom participation and quantity and quality of work; therefore, attendance is very important. If your student has more than two or three absences to date, we need to stress better attendance. Missing one session at the Technology Center is equivalent to missing three classes at the home school. I not only stress technical skills, but also job readiness skills that include: teamwork, dependability, honesty, business etiquette, and leadership.
I would like to invite you to attend our Back-to-School Parent Night on September 24 at 5:30 to 8:00 at the Technology Center. I will be available that evening to answer any questions you may have.
If you have any concerns regarding the class or your student’s progress, please don't hesitate to call me at 269-674-8001. You are also invited to visit the program in session at any time. Thank you for allowing your child to be part of my program.
