Computer Networking

Take a tour of the PC Technician/Network Administration program! The PC Technician program trains students in the evaluation and repair of computers and their associated equipment.  After learning how to diagnose, modify, upgrade and repair hardware components, students move on to study the various operating systems, from DOS to the most current Windows platforms. Students are also taught how to set up a basic network, all of which prepares students for the A+ Certification and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) tests.

The Network Administration program trains students in the operation and maintenance of the most common modern networks.  In preparation for the Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) test, students learn how a network is developed, how to grant and restrict access to files and applications, etc. The CNA test is a stepping stone to additional network certifications such as Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Novell Engineer (CNE).
