Computer Networking
The PC Technician program trains students
in the evaluation and repair of computers and their associated
equipment. After learning how to diagnose, modify, upgrade and
repair hardware components, students move on to study the various
operating systems, from DOS to the most current Windows platforms.
Students are also taught how to set up a basic network, all of which
prepares students for the A+ Certification and Microsoft Certified
Professional (MCP) tests.
The Network Administration program trains students in the
operation and maintenance of the most common modern networks. In
preparation for the Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) test,
students learn how a network is developed, how to grant and restrict
access to files and applications, etc. The CNA test is a stepping
stone to additional network certifications such as Certified Cisco
Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
and Certified Novell Engineer (CNE). Take a
