Medical Occupations
The Medical Occupations program assists
students in health care career exploration and mastery of basic
patient care skills. The course provides students with a
combination of classroom instruction, clinical experience at long-term
care facilities and career exploration through job shadowing at
various health care facilities. Students learn the skills needed
to qualify for state certification as a Competency Evaluated Nursing
Assistant (CENA), or facilitate advanced placement/college credit
toward a variety of associate degree programs in nursing or allied
health.
