Programs and Support Services > VBISD Operated Programs > Transportation ServicesVBISD operates 19 morning and afternoon bus runs, plus 10 noon bus runs. We have a fleet of 20 busses, 2 vans and 6 suburbans. We employ 18 bus drivers and 17 bus attendants. All drivers and attendants are required to be fully certified as a school bus driver per all state and federal requirements plus any medical training needed to transport medically fragile students. VBISD school busses transport approximately 265 special education students including preschoolers for all the local school districts within VBISD, covering approximately 714 square miles in transporting the students to the Bert Goens Learning Center. |
