Programs and Support Services > VBISD Operated Programs > Mild Cognitive Impairment Programs

The program for students with Mild Cognitive Impairments enrolls students aged twelve to fifteen who are having difficulty being successful in their local school districts. Two of the main goals of this program are to give the students successful experiences, which in turn boosts self-esteem and increases their ability to learn, and to provide students with functional academics and life skills that lay the foundation for the graduation. Students learn that the school work they do directly relates to their lives and the lives they will lead as adults.
