These instructions are for setting up basic e-mail on Mozilla Thunderbird on a Windows XP machine.

1.  Open Mozilla Thunderbird and click on "Tools > Account Settings":

 

2.  Click on the "Server Settings" option on the left. 

For the server name enter, "mail.vbisd.org".  For the User Name enter your VBISD e-mail address (ex:  username@vbisd.org).

3.  Click on "Outgoing Server (SMTP):

For the server name enter, "mail.vbisd.org".  Click the box labeled, "Use name and password".  Then enter your VBISD email address into the "User Name" field.

 

4.  Click "OK" and your Mozilla Thunderbird is now configured.
