The Van Buren Intermediate School District (VBISD) Board of Education and the VBISD PSM Association have agreed to allocate $2,500 for a “Great Job” Awards program. Awards may be given in amounts up to $500 per each member.

Eligibility:

A Professional Staff Member (PSM), who is currently employed as a VBISD Education Association member, with the Van Buren Intermediate School District (VBISD).

Criteria:

  • A PSM who provides selfless and extraordinary service beyond the normally accepted workday.
  • A PSM who significantly exceeds job duties for the students they serve.
  • A PSM who shows exceptional leadership in the community.

“Great Job” Selection Team:

  • VBISD Board of Education President
  • VBISD Superintendent
  • VBISD Education Association President

The Nominating Process:

  • Nomination form is available in facility offices and sent to PSM’s.  It is also available for download here.
  • Open nomination process including the community.
  • Nominations submitted to the VBISD Superintendent and VBISD Education Association President.
  • Once nominations are proposed to the VBISD Superintendent or Education Association President they will be reviewed for decision by the “Great Job” selection team. A decision can be made at anytime with concurrence from each team member. Notification and award will be made throughout the year. Examples of recognition will be posted on bulletin boards, paycheck news, professional development days, opening day ceremony, board of education meetings, etc.
