The Early Care and Education Office of the Van Buren
Intermediate School District facilitates several programs for young
children, birth to school age entry, and their families.
The purpose of the program is to:
- Support parents as their child's first and best teacher.
- Promote school readiness in young children.
- Assess children as early as possible to provide assistance and/or
remediation when necessary.
- Refer families to appropriate community resources.
- Promote the importance of reading daily to young children.
- Assist children to become successful individuals in school and in
life.
