VBISD Technology Plan

VBISD Technology Plan:

The people who have worked with the issues of technology and this plan would like to thank our administration and school board for the great support and vision that they have provided. With the encouragement of these administrators, as well as our school board, we have had the approval and financial backing that allows us to provide services and take programming steps that only the largest and wealthiest school districts in Michigan are able to do. In our small southwest corner of Michigan, we have been able to establish networks; for accounting services, for e-mail service, for two way distance learning, for professional development and advanced degree programs, and for the purchase of a 16 point video bridge that allows us to connect to as many as 16 sites at a time for videoconferencing activities. We also thank the citizens and voters of the VBISD for approving our requests to fund these services, and welcome them to use the Van Buren Conference Center for their group activities. We can all take pride that the Van Buren Intermediate School District takes a proactive, leadership position in Vocational Education, Migrant/Bilingual Education, Special Education, Administrative Services and for supporting the Van Buren Conference Center. We thank the people of Van Buren County for allowing us to do this.
