Statement of Assurance of Compliance with State and Federal Laws
The Van Buren Intermediate School District hereby agrees that it will comply with State and Federal Laws prohibiting discrimination, and with all requirements imposed by or pursuant to regulations of the United States Department of Education. Therefore, it shall be the policy of the Van Buren Intermediate School District that no person on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, weight, height, marital status, arrest record, genetic information, handicap condition or disability, or any other legally protected characteristic, shall be discriminated against, excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any state or federally funded program or activity for which the Van Buren Intermediate School District is responsible or for which it receives state or federal financial assistance from the Department of Education.
