Lane Automotive, Inc. Scholarship
Lane Automotive, Inc. desires to publicly recognize outstanding students for their scholastic achievement and their enthusiasm for the high performance motorsports. Lane Automotive, Inc will award four (4) one thousand dollar ($1,000) scholarships each year and continuing as business conditions may warrant. One scholarship will be awarded to a student from each of the following public school systems; Watervliet, Coloma, Hartford, and the Van Buren Intermediate School District. The scholarship is for one year only - a new recipient is to be named each year.
Eligibility and Selection
Any graduating senior in good standing may submit an application. The student must reside in the school district and have definite plans to continue his/her education. Specifically, the student must be accepted into an institution of higher education such as a community college, university, or vocational school, trade school, etc. In addition, that school must have an automotive centered field of study within its curriculum or be directly affiliated with such an institution.
While financial need and academic standing are not the sole criteria, a graduating student's grades, community service and sources of economic support will be taken into consideration. A primary objective of this scholarship application will be to recognize and support that student who is planning to enter a field of study relating to the automotive performance industry, automotive engineering, automotive mechanics, or other automotive related field.
A committee from that student's high school will determine the selection of the respective recipient. There must be a review and concurrence of the application with a representative from Lane Automotive, Inc. There may be a personal interview with the applicant with a representative from Lane Automotive, Inc.
Form of Scholarship
An outright grant of one thousand dollars ($1,000) will be made for books, tuition, and student fees by check payable jointly to the student and school upon presentation of proof of acceptance and registration.
Winners will be announced in a manner consistent with each school's policy on student recognition.
