VBISD and WMU are pleased to offer a section of “Literacy Studies (LS) 5160 Professional Symposium in Reading” to help teachers earn their Professional Certification through the State of Michigan. This offering is an online course that will be geared toward Van Buren County teachers. It allows you to collaborate with and learn from teachers and reading specialists that understand your workplace and help you incorporate your learning back into the classroom.

Madonna University’s Professional Development Program is offering non-degree graduate credits to participants involved in Van Buren ISD’s “Leverage Leadership Training.” You may earn 1 credit for each set of 15 contact hours that you accurately accumulate and log. Contact hours include actual training hours, taking out lunches and break times. The tuition is $150 per semester hour and the required coursework is detailed below. Once successfully completed, these non-degree graduate credits will appear on an official Madonna University transcript and can be used towards recertification purposes.
